Business Adventures Around Muncie

Wow, over the past month we have had a lot of fun in the Spotted Monkey Family around Muncie. Here’s just a run down of some of the activities.

MonkeyBusiness TruckIt all started with the #MonkeyBusiness Truck and surprise party on October 16th.  That next weekend the #MonkeyBusiness truck ventured to it’s first car show in Albany, Indiana – winning a top 15 trophy.   The following day some of the Spotted Monkey Pit Crew took the truck and went tailgating at the Ball State Homecoming Game. Charlie Cardinal made a special appearance, too! We had incredible seats during the game thanks to Dillman’s Furniture & Mattress and Reed’s Plumbing Sewer and Septic. After the game, #MonkeyBusiness won the “Just Because” award at a car show in Muncie. It was a great first full weekend with the truck.

Besides joyriding, we had a Lunch & Learn at Coldwell Banker Lunsford.  CBL provided lunch and Facebook Advertising was the subject. We PrimeTrust - Jeremy Allisonalso attended the 100 Men Who Cook event thanks to Jeremy Allison and PrimeTrust Federal Credit Union.  “Chef” Jeremy served Indiana Caviar – have you heard of such a thing? (It was good). The best part of the night, over $114,000 raised for Champions for a Safe Community.

Most recently, on November 10th, we attended our first VERGE Muncie.  It’s a new style of networking to Muncie and I like it.  It is geared for investors, developers and entrepreneurs (and beer lovers are highly encouraged). Three start up businesses pitch their business idea to the crowd, and you never know who might be that perfect connection. It might be that developer to make your idea come to life or maybe it’s the investor to help start your business.  You just never know.  VERGE takes place the 2nd Thursday of every month.  Let us know if you want more details or “like” it on Facebook.  November Pitch - Verge Muncie
