Police Social Media Academy is a 3-day seminar designed to help law enforcement and public safety officials learn how to use social media to connect with their community. From January 9-11, instructors Chase Winkle and Joe Krupa along with guest presenters taught attendees about how to utilize social media platforms, how to interpret analytics and how to develop their own content.
On January 10, Ashli presented Snapchat 101. Groups like police and EMTs can actually use Snapchat to connect with the Muncie community. Ashli led the group through the Snap-making process and talked about on-demand geofilters, which are a unique and affordable way to personalize a group’s Snapchat message and promote events or causes.
